APW - Waltham, Lugrin's patent double-dial chronograph with conversion dial for use in HC format, Model 1874, 15J, 14S, heavy 18K gold original AWCo demi-HC, front with timekeeping chapter in red enamel, rear with initials in white enamel and red guilloche enamel, glazed mvt observation cover, front with white enamel SS timekeeping dial, rear with white enamel chronograph chapter ring divided in 1/5-second increments, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1279234. CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good chronograph function, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, visible surfaces with fine and micro-fine scratches; front dial with hls at 3, small scratch at edge near 5; rear dial with sizable patched chips surrounding the affixing screws, few hls, some edge chips at bottom; excellent timekeeping hands, minute with finish loss, sweep chronograph hand is fair with black overpainting and finish loss; case with replacement glazed observation cover over mvt, case shows medium wear, band with dent at 12, dings at 5 and 11, dent to lower left perimeter of rear, two protruding dings to right perimeter of rear, reduced engine turning detail with full loss at shoulders, some enamel loss to numerals of demi-chapter, white enamel intact to rear, loss of significant portion of red guilloche enamel to rear; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystals.
